Internet Failover Protection

When fibre drops, MagNet doesn't wait for your OS routing table to time out. Keepalives detect a dead path in milliseconds and shift flows to surviving links — your tunnel IP stays, your meeting stays.

Hot failover vs cold failover

Cold failover = new TCP session, dropped call, re-auth VPN. Hot failover = same MagNet tunnel session, paths change underneath. MagNet implements hot failover in Failover and Speed modes.

  • Sub-second path switch on link death
  • Tunnel IP unchanged — apps don't reconnect
  • Proactive probing — switch before users notice
  • Works with 2–4 WAN inputs

Business continuity

Retail POS, remote branches, and home offices can't afford 'internet down' for 30 seconds. Bond fibre + LTE and let MagNet handle the blip while staff keep working.

Failover mode

Dedicated Failover mode sticks to the best probed path and moves as soon as keepalives prove another link is healthier — ideal when you want simplicity over max Mbps.
